Q2 2023: What's new in Selector (Reagents and model systems)

We are excited to announce new enhancements in Selector between April and June 2023

Over the past three months, we’ve added data from over 250K publication figures and 330K products across all reagent and model system types. Other notable updates include:

  • Cross-reactivity data is available for 2X more antibody products
  • Keep an eye on platform updates with the newsfeed

1. Cross-reactivity data is available for 2X more antibody products

Predicted cross-reactivity analysis can be extremely valuable for identifying target species that were not explicitly tested for by the vendor. Cross-reactivity data for select antibody products is now available for over 1 million antibody products. Within select antibody product pages, look for cross-reactivity data generated through BLAST sequence alignment. Quickly view % sequence similarities between antibody epitopes and protein sequences across several different species. Click here to learn more.

2. Leverage two new updates to help you surface more data for microbial research

Select Microbial Detection in the Application filter to narrow your search for thousands of antibody and PCR products that target microbial proteins. Data can be surfaced for both commercially available products and custom products detected in the literature.

We've also added more catalog data from product vendors such as Sino Biological, National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC), and Meso Scale Discovery to provide scientists researching microbial targets with more relevant product and figure data. Stay tuned for more updates in the next few months!

3. We are expanding our cell line library

Scientists can easily surface product and figure results relevant to cell lines from our library built from both vendor catalogs and third-party databases. We recently added 90 new cell lines to our library from databases such as the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC) and Library of Integrated Network-Based Cellular Signatures (LINCS) to surface data relevant to more cell lines of interest. Stay tuned as we are continuing to expand our cell line library in the next few months!

4. Keep an eye on platform updates with the newsfeed

Check out the newsfeed for an easy way to stay up-to-date on changes and additions to Selector. See updates about new features, new data, events specific to your company, and more on the What's New section on the Selector homepage.

Please note that access to these features and enhancements depends on which reagents and model systems are available at your organization.
